Lily Chanu in women's compound team to make final round

Imphal, October 20 2017:
Paonam Lily Chanu is in the Indian women’s compound team which entered the final of the World Archery Championship 2017 held at Mexico City .
The team of Lily Chanu, who was once a player of Manipur Archery Association, Trisha Dev and Jyoti Surekha Vennam will face the Colombian compound team in the final on October 21 at 11.24 hrs (Mexico Time) .
The women’s compound team defeated Germany by 232-227 points in the first match.
They dumped team Denmark by 233-228 points in the quarter-final match to meet Russia in the semi-final.
The trio crushed team Russia by 232-229 points to cruise into the final .

Paonam Lily Chanu who also represented team India in the compound individual event could not make it to the final round of the event .
The archer from Manipur defeated World no 2 Columbian archer, Lopez Sarah by a close 141-140 points but suffered defeat in the 2nd round of the gold medal match against Wesmi Boston to settle at the 8th position of the event .
Manipur Archery Association congratulated Lily and her team mates of the compound team and wished her luck for the final encounter against Colombia.
