1st Y Rashmani Memorial Hockey : YCCIC-A blank KHSC 6-0 in girls competition

YCCIC- A, Kontha Ahallup notched up a 6-0 win against KHSC, Khongman in a Pool A league match for girls in the ongoing 1st Y Rashmani Memorial U-14 Boys and U-16 Girls Hockey Tournament organised by YCCIC at Ibudhou Marjing Ground under the aegis of Manipur Hockey.
YCCIC-A took off the game on a bright note and had a 3-0 lead in the first half before pumping in 3 more goals including two goals by L Natali in the second half for a 6-0 finish.
S Babyrani opened the goal account early in the 4th minute while I Kundaly and M Priya quickfired one goal respectively in the 20th and the 21st minute to hand YCCIC-A a 3-0 lead.
As KHSC were unable to create a good move despite the huge deficit,, L Natali of YCCIC-A extended the lead to 4-0 with her first goal in the 40th minute before her second and the team's last in the 49th minute.
K Priyanka scored in between (47') to ensure the 6-0 demolition of the Khongman side.
Meanwhile in the Pool A competition of the boys' competition, YCCIC-A thrashed KHSC-A by 7-1 goals as W Rohit connected to 5 goals alone including a penalty corner.
Rohit gave YCCIC-A the lead early in the 8th minute before KHSC-A drew level in the 14th minute through Silheiba L.The parity however failed to last long as W Rohit was at it again to break the deadlock in the 18th minute before L Leishemba fired in another to make it 3-1 at the half time.
YCCIC-A onslaught resumed after the restart with Rohit converting a penalty corner in the 30th minute before chipping in two more goal in the 32nd and the 36th minute giving the Khongman side no chance for a comeback.
S Rishi then fired in the last goal in the 44th minute and completed the 7-1 crushing of KHSC-A, Khongman.
In the Pool B league match played earlier, PHAM eased to a 4-0 win against Meira, Bashikhong.
Lamnganba got the opener in the 17th minute and Lakpati scored another the very next minute to help PHAM enjoyed a 2-0 lead in the first half while Mangalsana (38') and N Sanaton (45') managed one goal each to complete the 4-0 rout of the Bashikhong side.
