KPSC crowned champions of 1st DSA Youth Football League

Kakching Popular Sporting Club (KPSC) were crowned champions of the 1st DSA Youth Football League organised by District Sports Association Kakching under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association at four venues.
The league tournament which kick-started on March 11 featured a total of 9 teams in the beginning but a team was scratched off leaving it to an 8 team contest.
KPSC secured a total of 17 points from 5 wins and two draws while Keirak Makha Social Welfare Club (KMSWC) finished runners up with 15 points from 5 wins in 7 matches.
Youth Development Organisation (YDO), Sora were able to finish third with a total of 14 points from 4 wins and 2 draws.
P Renedy Singh, former Indian captain, AFC A-Li-cense holder graced the closing ceremony of the league tournament as chief guest while Y Mangoljao Singh, president, DSA, Kakching attended the ceremony as functional president.

YDO ran riot over Juvenile Association (JA), Kakching today to post an emphatic 9-0 victory in their last match of the tournament and finished third.
Imbran scored thrice in this one sided match while Anjer scored two goals to hand the Sora side a huge win.
Imbran scored the opener early in the 3rd minute while the second goal came from the feet of Anjer the very next minute.
Imbran then scored two more goals in the 7th and the 25 th minute while Amer scored a single in the 20th minute to make it 5-0 at the end of the first half.
The second half also remained within the grip of YDO Sora and it was Mislaodin who hit the first goal of the second half in the 30th minute.
Anjer scored his second goal in the 32nd minute before Tarik scored the finisher in the 38th minute of the match.
The second match of the day saw Kadajit Youth Welfare Associated Club (KYWAC) beat Kakching Football Club (KFC) by 2-1 goals.
Dinesh of KFC found the breakthrough early in the 10th minute but the lead was short-lived as KYWAC got the equaliser in the 11th minute through Sital after a counter run.
Rishikanta then broke the deadlock in the 29th minute which was more than enough for KYWAC to finish 5th in the tournament.
The last match of the league tournament saw DYA, Elangkhangpokpi go down by 0-3 goals to KMSWC, Keirak which claimed the second spot.
Th Krishnakanta opened up in the 14th minute to hand KMSWC a 1-0 lead while Kh Lukhoi (53') and E Rustum (60+4) also scored one goal each to make it 3-0 at the end.
