Imphal, January 17 2019: To motivate the local youth and to instill in them the spirit of sportsmanship, Kakching Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles provided sports items to the organizers of "First Winter Under-13 7-a-Side Football Tournament" during the final match which was played between PYC Waikhong and Mangal Football Academy, Kontha Khabam.

To encourage the young talent which lies in abundance in the country, the young football players of both the teams were rewarded after the match which was eventually won by Mangal Football Academy, Kontha Khabam by 6-2.Medical support was also provided during the match by the Waikhong Temporary Operating Base.

The organizers and the public appreciated the gesture shown by the Kakching Battalion and expressed their gratitude, reaffirming the importance of the role of Assam Rifles in bringing a positive change in the society.
