3rd Heibok T-20 Cricket KSDO, PTRC end campaign on winning notes

KSDO, Kyamgei and PTRC, Patsoi have completed their Group campaigns at the 3rd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament today beating their respective rivals at Langthabal Public Ground.
KSDO, Kyamgei defeated PTCC, Patsoi by 13 runs in their last Group A league match as PTCC's chase of 96 runs ended at 82 in 18.4 overs.
KSDO opted to bat first after winning the toss but were held to 95 runs for all wickets down in 19.4 overs as PTCC's Kenjit shone in the bowling and finished with a 6 wicket feat while his team mate John picked up four wickets in 4 overs.
Rafique with 26 runs was the highest scorer for KSDO in this innings while Lakimbur and Aziz managed 16 and 14 runs respectively.
Although the target was not too big, PTCC's batsmen failed to play their part in the chase and were bowled out for 82 runs in 18.4 overs handing KSDO the second win of the tournament.
Sohail and Kaiku scored 17 runs respectively in the chase while Kenjit got his name on the scoresheet for adding 16 runs.
Shahjahan led the bowling attack for KSDO and fetched three wickets while Sadam and Lakimbur claimed two wickets apiece to help restrict PTCC 13 runs away from target.
Shahjahan was also named man of the match.
Meanwhile, PTRC, Patsoi chased down PSC's target of 118 runs in just 16.5 overs with four wickets left in the hand.
PSC after electing to bat first rode on Kenny (29), Vivekananda (28) and Homenjit (13) to post a total of 117 runs for 6 .
The innings saw PTRC's Bidash scalp three wickets in four overs while Pradip and Samuel manage a wicket each.
In reply, Abit played a pivotal role by adding 30 runs off 34 balls while Santosh kept the chase alive by scoring 25 runs off 13 balls before Bidash fetched 19 more runs to ensure the team a total of 118 runs in 16.5 overs losing 4 wickets.
Bhomendro and Kenny struggled in PSC bowling and shared two wickets each in a losing cause.
Bidash was named man of the match.
SCCC will play ESU in a Group A league match tomorrow at 10 am .
