31st All Manipur Shooting competition : Seram Binoy clinches men's 50 m rifle prone gold

Imphal, July 23 2022:
Seram Binoy Singh claimed the individual men's 50 m Rifle Prone Championship gold with a 584 tally in the ongoing 31 st All Manipur Shooting Competition.
Sinam Somorendro of Imphal West District Rifle Association clinched the silver medal scoring 571 points as K Asish Sharma bagged the bronze with 563 points.
In the master men's individual 10 m pistol championship, Pangambam Kunjabihari shot 351 points to win the gold as G Shyamkanhai settled for the silver with 336 points.
The women's individual 25 m Pistol Championship gold in the meantime went to Yaiphabi Telem who shot 261 points while Irengbam Reema Devi (261 points) and Minerva Labuktongbam (252 points) finished second and third to collect silver and bronze medals respectively.
Clay Pigeon Trap Shooting Championship
Imphal East duo, Devika Narumbam and Narumbam Isha shot 19 and 18 points respectively in the junior women's Clay Pigeon Trap Shooting Championship to seal the gold and silver medals.
In the meantime, Salam Premila and Aaryaman Lairenjam of Imphal West won the women's and junior men's titles with 25 and 27 points respectively.
In the men's championship, Imphal West's Ajay Singh Huidrom shot 39 points to clinch the gold medal as Ratankumar Khamnam of the same unit (37) and Gosaimayum Pholendro Sharma (32) of Manipur Rifle Association finished second and third.
In the master men's competition, Manipur Rifle Association's duo Abdul Kalam and Gurumayum Rishikesh Sharma shot 35 and 30 points to claim the gold and silver medals respectively.
50 m Pistol Championships
Usham Christopher of Imphal East sealed the 50 m Pistol Championship for men by collecting 247 points as Manipur Rifle Association's Kangjam Akanta (237) and Waikhom Minakumar (231) settled for the silver and the bronze medals.
10 m Pistol Championships
The 10 m pistol championship title for men was claimed by Kunyson Tonambam who shot 366 points while Imphal West's Naorem Khandajit sealed the silver scoring 365 points total.
Manipur Rifle Association's Kangjam Prem Singh gathered 362 points in the same event to win the bronze.
In the junior men's competition, Yumnam Moramba shot 349 points to win the gold medal.
License Gun events
In the 25 m 0.22 Air Pistol competition for personal license gun, Imphal West's N Kirankanta and B Giansing Panmei shot 48 and 47 points respectively to seal the top two spots.
Meanwhile in the 25 m Centre Fire Pistol competition, M Barish Sharma of Imphal West topped with 74 points while Imphal West's Sapam Norendra (72 pts) and W Dilip (61 pts) finished second and third.
