Private Schools Sports Football: Ghani and Kids book semifinal spot

Ghani English School, Hatta and Kids High School, Dewlahland advance into the semifinals of the 1st All Manipur Recognized Private School's Sport's Meet organized by All Manipur Recognized Private School's Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) at TH Birchandra Singh Football Academy Ground, Taonungkhok on Monday.
Ghani English School, Hatta overcame Unique Model Academy, Heingnag in penalty shoot out to walk into the semifinals in the first quarterfinal match.
Unique took the first lead through S Naobi in 8th min.
Ghani equalized two minutes later through MD Ezar to level 1-1.KH Yaiphaba had over the lead again to Unique in 18th min.

At half time Unique defended the lead and took the break at 2-1.After the break, Ghani pressed hard to get the equalizer.
Unique defenders defended the lead till but a rare mistake under the sustained pressure.
MD Riaz Khan lapped on the mistake and converted into goal in 62nd min to the loud cheers of Ghani supporters.
After the end of the regulation time, both teams ended in 2-2.In the shoot out, MD Farizudin; MD Ezar; MD Raiz Khan; MD Zakir Hussain and MD Riz scored for Ghani while CH Samananda; T Chingkheinganba and P James successfully scored from the spot but could not take their team to semifinals.
Ghani won the match in 5-7 and booked a semifinals place.
In another match, Kids High School, Dewlahland crawled over the line over Eagle High School, Nagaram.
Kids scored two early goals through Seigin Mang in 2nd and 23rd min to take an early lead.
Eagle's did not wilt under the two goal deficit and fought hard to stay in the match and tournament.
Meghajit's goal in 35th min provides the hope of staying in the match to Eagle's.However, Mongan took the match away from Eagle's by finding the net in 39th min.
Without losing heart, Eagle's came back strongly and Meghajit again scored in 48th min to reduce the margin.
With 1 goal standing between the victory and defeat in the tournament Eagle's swamped Kid's territory but defenders of Kids stand firm and defended the lead till the end of the regulation time to walk into the semifinals.
