YPHU won Super League trophy

YPHU and YDO have won champion and runners up titles for the 15th S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League being organized by Imphal West Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak here.
In the first match of the league played today, YDO hammered PHLYO by 10-1 goals to occupy 2nd position in the point table with 10 points in hand.
After the 11th minute of the match, Nanao opened the scoring account for YDO and it was followed by N Olen's hattrick in 21st, 22nd 28th minute.
Daniel Baite saved PHLYO from blank-score status in the 37th minute.
Thus, YDO led the first half by 4-1 goals.
The fifth goal was scored by Kh Herojit (54th min) who also went on to fetch one more goal in 66th minute.
Nanao, who opened the goal account, completed his hattrick in 59th and 64th minute.
Teammates N Joykumar and Anthang Kabui also contributed one goal each to the YDO's huge goal margin win.
Now, PHLYO, who could secure only 1 point, will be relegated to 1st Division.
In the second ground, YPHU defeated BMSC by 1-0 goal to take lead in the league table.
After a goalless first half, the winning goal of the YPHU was scored in the 73rd minute of the match to emerge as the winner of the Super League.
N Homendro of YPHU and N Herojit of BMSC were booked yellow cards for their unsporting behavior.
