43rd Junior Boys and Girls State Level Handball Tournament begins

The 43rd edition of Junior Boys and Girls State Level Handball Tournament organised under the aegis of Manipur Handball Association kicked off today at BBA ground.
A total of 4 boys' teams and 3 girls' teams are taking part in this tournament which is organised in double legged basis.
The opening day of tournament witnessed BBA and YLK earn two wins respectively in the boys competition.
BBA downed Citizen by 15-8 goals in the opening match.
N Shitaljit topscored with 5 goals for BBA in this one sided match and his team mate L Geetan scored 4 goals.
I Atomba contributed another 3 goals for the team while Th Yaiphaba and A Premson scored 2 and 1 goal respectively.
W Rohit (3), Ksh General (3) and T Surjit (1) scored to make it 8 goals for Citizen.
BBA also sealed a 9-6 win against Public Club riding on doubles by I Atomba, N Shitaljit and A Premson.
L Goutam, A Tondonba and A Manichandra also added a goal each for BBA in this match.
Priyokumar scored the most goals (3) for PC while Shahrukhan, Prem and Manoranjan scored a goal each for PC.
YLK on the other hand sealed a 13-6 win against Citizen before beating PC by 16-7 goals.
A Bikamjit (5), Beckham L (4), K Rajeshwar (2), A Bipinchandra (1) and A Somorjit (1) scored for YLK in their 13-06 victory against Citizen while W Rohit (4), Bidas (1) and Shitaljit (1) scored for the latter team.
Meanwhile in the second match, Beckham L made the most of the score (5) for YLK while A Bikramjit followed suit to fetch 4 more goals to ensure the 16-7 win against PC.
K Rajeshor, Th Silheiba and A Somorjit scored 3, 2 and 1 goal respectively to make it a total of 13 goals.
Elsewhere in the girls competition, Citizen thumped YLK 12-4 and YLK beat BBA 4-2.Th Amujaobi made the most of the scoring for Citizen in the first match with 7 goals in her name while TH Jenita and Th Angoubi scored 4 and 1 goals respectively.
S Sanatombi on the other hand scored 3 goals for YLK in this match while her compatriot scored a single.
In the second match of the girls competition, Th Kabita and K Sonia scored 3 and 1 goal respectively to give YLK a 4-2 win against BBA.
L Remika and A Bebe scored a goal each for BBA.
