Vijay Merchant Trophy Manipur post 119 runs in first inning, Meghalaya end day at 41 for three

Manipur had a hard day at Shillong as they posted only 117 runs with all wickets down in 72.4 overs in an away match against Meghalaya in the Vijay Merchant Trophy for U-16 Boys Cricket Tournament 2017 (Round III- North-East and Bihar) which commenced on December 1under the auspices of BCCI .
Opener, Andyroshan and Raghav of Manipur partnered to score 24 runs in 14.2 overs after which Swastic broke the partnership off a LBW.
Soon Raghav followed Andyroshan making it 29 for 2 at the hand of Swastic who was in sublime form today .
Bablu who came in after the fall of Andyroshan managed to score 20 runs off 80 balls and Ansh who faced 60 balls scored 16 runs .
Meghalaya’s bowling line-up did a credible job and managed an excellent economy in the double innings match.
At the end of day 1, Meghalaya scored a total of 41 runs for 3 in 23 overs .
Dominic of Manipur was able to take 2 wickets from 5 overs and maintained an economy of 2.40 runs per over.
Another wicket was taken by Jyotin Pheiroijamba.
