CC Meet: SSB lift winner's trophy

Four time winner, Sashastra Seema BAL (SSB) today proved itself better of the six time winner Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel by lifting the trophy of 57th CC Meet.
In the thrilling final match of the tournament played at Khuman Lampak sports complex here today, SSB defeated TRAU by a solitary goal.
The lone winning goal of SSB came from its player Ng.
Jitkumar in the first half of the match.
As the winner of the 57th edition of the prestigious tournament organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), players of SSB went home richer by Rs.2,00,000 and a gold plated trophy.
The runners up team TRAU received Rs.1,00,000 and a trophy.

AMFA has increased the cash prize of the tournament to Rs 2,00,000 for the winning team from this edition.
Earlier, the amount of the prize cash given to the winning team has been rather irregular, sometime fixing at Rs 50,000, sometime at 60,000 and at times at Rs 1,00,000 .
During the award presentation ceremony, an amount of Rs.15,000 was given as Footballer of the Year Award to midfielder Naorem Sushil Meetei of NEROCA.
The award has been donated and dedicated by the family members of late international referee and promoter of football Elangbam Ibohal of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai.
But, especially for this year, the said amount given to the best footballer of the year was donated by Hueiyen Lampao Group of Publications.
The cash amount was presented to Sushil by Soubam Ongbi Elangbam Tokeshwari, daughter of late Elangbam Ibohal after handing over the amount to president of AMFA Arambam Santoshkumar.
The Best Women Footballer of the year award was presented to G.Radharani of ESU Wangkhei.
The award carries an amount of Rs.5,000 with a trophy.
NISA Thangmeiband was awarded the best discipline team of the tournament.
The award carries Rs.5,000 in cash and a trophy.
Ch.
Kumar of TRAU was honoured with the best goal keeper award, which also carries an amount of Rs.5,000 with a trophy.
Best player's award which carries Rs.4,000 in cash and a trophy was presented to Daniel L.Hmar of TRAU.
The award for Best scorer of the tournament was given to L.Sanatomba of NISA for scoring 6 goals in the tournament and he was also honoured with a cash reward of Rs.5,000 and a trophy.
Man of the match was awarded to the goal keeper Pradip Basu of SSB who took home Rs.5,000 and a trophy.
The award for Best coach of the year went to M.Surmala Chanu of YWC Langthabal and she was honoured with Rs.5,000 and a trophy.
Best defender award comprising cash reward of Rs 5000 and a trophy was given to Md.Sohail of NEROCA.
Best midfielder award of Rs 5000 and a trophy was presented to L.Bikram of TRAU.
The Best referee award of Rs 5000 and a trophy was given to Kh.

Jitkumar of SSB was honoured with Rs.5,000 and a trophy for the best striker while the award for youngest player of the tournament was given to 15-year old Md.Akbar Khan of KIYC, who was honoured with Rs.5,000 and a trophy.
