MPSC(A), KPC (A), MPSC(C), TDPC (A) wins in contrasting styles

Manipur Police Sporting Club (MPSC)(A); Khurai Polo Club (A); Manipur Police Sporting Club (C) and Thoubal District Polo Club (A) registered contrasting wins in the 31st State Level Polo Tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung on Friday.
In the first match of the day, MPSC (A) riders were all around the ground.
From the very first minute MPSC stormed K&MMRS territory and it was all about MPSC.
S Abungcha initiates the thrashing in the 1st minute of the match.
Abuncha was followed by S Bimol and Th Ranjit in the 5th and 6th min in the first chukker.
The intensity was reduced in the second chukker and S Abungcha added only one goal for MPSC (A) in the 2nd min to take his personal score to two.
Third chukker show an increased in tempo when Th Ranjit roamed in two successive goals in 1st and 3nd min of the chukker and took his personal score to three.
S Bimol was not far behind as he fires in three goal in 2nd; 5th and 6th min to take his personal score to four to stay as the lead scorer of the Police A team.

In the final chukker, Police A team lower their guard, taking the opportunity K&MMRS blasted two goals in 1st and 7th min of the chukker to prevent a complete rout though the effort fell to short.
At the end of the final chukker MPSC (A) comfortably advance to pre quarterfinal with moral boosting 9-2 victory.
The second match was no different though K&MMRS (A) displayed some spine to match their rival Khurai Polo Club (KPC) (A).
Ch Ranjit strikes the first goal in the 30th sec of the match for K&MMRS (A) to the delight of their supporters and left their rival stunned in the first chukker.
KPC (A) players recovered from the lightning strike and restored parity in the 2nd min through P Ojit.
Once the score is level, KPC (A) attacked K&MMRS (A) domain and increased the lead through P Jotin in 3rd min.
The chukker ended in 2-1 advantage to KPC (A) .
Jotin began the second chukker from where he left in the first chukker and scored a goal within the first minute of the chukker.
K&MMRS (A) players responded equally when Ch Ajit scored a goal in the next few seconds.
The first minute show two goals.
KPC (A) again increased the lead in 3rd min through L Thomson.
K&MMRS (A) fought back through S Jemson in 6th min.
However, P Jotin again scored in 7th min to lead the chukker for KPC (A) at 5-3 .
In contrast to the previous two chukker, KPC (A) added two goals in 4th ; 5th through O Roger and T Roshan.
Khurai players also a kept clean slate and lead the match at 7-3 after third chukker.
K&MMRS (A) regrouped and show their ability when S Girimohan scored in 0.8th min to provide a hope of coming back into the match.
O Roger and T Rohsan dusted the hope by scoring a goal each in 0.5th and 7th min of the match to pocket the match for KPC (A) at 9-4 .
Third match of the day was between two uneven teams.
MPSC (C) was too superior as compare to KPC (C).
From the initial minute of the match police players were around Khurai goal area.
Police scored at free will through Y Binay in the 0.36th min of the first chukker.
Viking Salam added another goal in 3rd min of second chukker.
Viking was followed by M Surjit and T Romen din 5th and 7th min for MPSC (C) M Vivekananda joins the party in 1st and 3rd min of third chukker for Police team.
Viking Salam completed the humiliation by firing a goal in the 2nd min of final chukker and police team walk away with the match at 7-0 .
Thoubal District Polo Club (TDPC) (A) and Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club (TYPC) played the final match of the day.
Th Mocha opened the account for TDPC in 3rd min of the match for TDPC.
TYPC responded in the next minute through P Premjit.
In a match that show constant raids by both the teams, N Honi Achumi scored for TDPC in 5th min.
the goal was responded in equal measure by K Rishikanta in 7th min for TYPC to end the first chukker in parity (2-2) .
Second and third chukker did not produce any goal for both the teams but in the final chukker Th Jacob scored in the 2nd min for TDPC to take the lead.
P Premjit took the lead back in 6th min for TYPC.
The match ended at 3-3 and both the teams went into the tiebreaker to decide the winner.
In the tiebreaker, M Manihar scored the winning goal for TDPC (A) in the 1st min to the joy of Thoubal players and supports.
