ASKKA emerge champion

ASKKA emerged champions in the 41st Manipur State Senior (Late N Sanayaima Memorial Kho-Kho Trophy) today at Kakching Popular Sporting Club (KPSC) ground downing BASU while SEASDO, Heirok emerged the champions in the women's category while ASKKA emerged the runners up.
In the sub-junior category (Late Ph Mani Sharma Memorial Trophy), SEASDO, Heirok emerged the champions while the runners up title went to ASKKA, Awang Sekmai.
In the girls' section SEASDO, Heirok were crowned champions while CHAMYDA, Sangaiyumpham emerged the runners up.
In the men's section, ASKKA Awang Sekmai downed BASU, Khangabok by 13-11 while in the women's section SEASDO edged past ASKKA by the margin of 5 to 4.The tournament which began from September 21 was organised by Kakching Popular Sporting Club (KPSC) under the auspices of Manipur Amateur KhoKho Association, Imphal concluded today.
MLA from Khangabok Assembly Constituency O Landhoni Devi and MLA from Wabagai AC Md Fajur Rashim attended the closing function as the chief guest and president respectively while Hony secretary of Manipur Olympic Association Sunil Elangbam and Kh Menjor, founder cum chairman of KM Blooming Higher Secondary School attended as guest of honour and dais member.
During the closing function, K Dhananjoy Singh of ASKKA Awang Sekmai who won a gold medal at the 12th South Asian Games was felicitated.
Similarly L Nirmala Devi of BASU, Khangabok who won gold at the Asian meet 2016 at Indore was also feted.
