Meiraba rises to 2nd in BWF Junior Rankings

Manipur's Maisnam Meiraba Luwang has jumped to 2nd in BWF Junior World Ranking and is now number 1 in Asian Ranking besides holding top spot in the Indian Ranking.
Maisnam Meiraba who reached the career high 3rd in BWF Junior Ranking January last following his success at International events last year, added another 180 points to stack up a total of 15150 points off 14 tournaments and displace Liu Liang of China for the 2nd spot in BWF Junior Rankings.
Christo Popov of France remains as No 1 in the ranking with 19755 points to his credit while Liu Liang is third on 13525 points from 7 tournaments as per the latest rankings released on Tuesday.
Meiraba is currently in Haarlem, Netherlands for the Dutch Junior Grand Prix International Badminton tournament-2020 which will begin on Wednesday, after "Italy junior International 2020" was cancelled due to the CORONAVIRUS fear.
The ace shuttler will also be taking part in the German Junior Grand Prix International Badminton tournament-2020 to be held from March 3 -8 under the supervision of BWF (Badminton World Federation) .
