Residential Model School emerge Inter School champions

The two day Inter School Football Championship involving 4 School teams from Rengpang, Khongsang, Irang and Awangkhulen Part-II culminated today with the final match being held at open ground of Irang (Taubam).
Residential Model School, Rengpang clinched the trophy and Team of Taubam emerged as runners up.
The tournament was organised by 143 Bn CRPF under Civic Action Programme with the aim of nurturing budding footballers from the Rengpang, Khongsang, Irang, Awangkhulen.
Chairman Irang & Khongsang, Secretary RNSO, Sh Awdhesh Kumar Second-in-Command-143 Bn CRPF, Sh B P Gangte, Assistant Commandant, 143 Bn CRPF, Sh Romen Singh Assistant Commandant, 143 Bn CRPF, people of Irang & other villages Teachers & Students of Schools of Rengpang, Khongsang, Irang, Awangkhule Part -2 were also present on the occasion.
Chief guest on the occasion Sh Lai Chand Yadav, Commandant-143 Bn CRPF felicitated the winning and runners-up teams.
During the tournament, sports kits were distributed to all the participating teams.
Both winners & runners were feted with trophies, medals during the closing ceremony, said a press note of 143 Bn CRPF.
Meanwhile, 143 Bn, CRPF had also conducted a medical camp in Taubam village in the first week October, the press note added.
The chairman and villagers of surrounding areas appreciated the excellent work done by CRPF for the community in the remote areas of Manipur.
