FootGal 2019 : Lenlai Club progress to next stage

Front-runners and last year's runners-up Lenlai Club sailed through to the next round of eight of the ongoing FootGal 2019 organised by District Administration, Churachandpur at Rayburn High School campus as they were awarded full points through a walk over after their opponents, The Good Guys staged a walkout two minutes before the end of the regulation time.
Lenlai Club were leading the match 2-1 when their opponents staged a walkout in tonight's second match.
It was Lhinggunnei who handed the lead to The Good Guys as she was on target in the 28th minute.
However, Lenlai Club asserted their class and upped their ante despite the one goal deficit.
They managed to restore parity when Diana hammered a goal in the 31st minute.
Diana completed a brace in the 36th minute.
However, with just two minutes before the end of the regulation time The Good Guys staged a walkout and the match ended 3-0 in favour of LC.
In the first match this evening, Lawmvual Lungtuak FC registered a 2-0 win over HoMES Boarding School thus narrowing the later team's chances of progressing through the next round of eight.
Right from the first whistle, Lawmvual Lungtuak FC went on an attacking spree after the opener was struck by Khumi as early in the 2nd minute of the game.
Suankim netted another goal for Lawmvual Lungtuak FC in the 7th minute.
Undaunted even after the two goals deficit, HoMES BS put up a good show gathering all their resources and chances to pull level to the score line.
However, they could not make any breakthrough as their attempts were thwarted by their rivals' defenders.
The third match tonight saw Avoi FC notching a slender 1-0 win against Chelsea FC.
Niangsangi's brilliant finishing in the 13th minute proved enough for Avoi FC to earn full points in the tightly contested match.
Meanwhile, PLL Football Academy went down 2-5 fighting Sunshine Angels in last night's third match.
The goals for Sunshine Angels were scored by Kim Gracy (4th), Monica Devi (6th and 17th), Mary Manngaihlian (22nd) and (Moilunsiam 32nd) while Thienlalnei (38th) and Esther Tingtinzou (39th) scored for PLL FA to narrow the margin.
Last night's fourth match witnessed Angels Place RFC notching a 3-1 victory over Koinonia FC.
Niangnunhoih hit a brace (2nd and 27th) and Sonia (25th) struck one for Angels Place RFC while Ngaknunnem pulled back one for Koinonia FC in the 10th minute.
The last match last night belonged to Victor Rest Farm FC as they romped to a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Sursa Athletic Club.
Moibiaksiam hit a treble (2nd, 12th and 38th) while Wangneikim Kom and Nengthennei struck a goal each in the 6th and 34th minute to seal an overwhelming win against their rivals.
