Three month long Grassroots Level Baby League Football concludes

The three month long "Grassroots Level Baby League Football" organised by TYDA, Toubal under the sponsorship of 8 one and Football Solution was concluded today in the presence of Narengbam Samarjit, Chairman Salai Holdings Pvt Ltd as chief guest.
The league event specially for the district of Bishnupur was held for three categories namely U-6, U-8 and U-10 since January 20 last and 8 teams featured in each categories.
The closing ceremony was also attended by S Sanatomba Singh, president, All Manipur Football Association; Dr I Ibohalbi Singh, Dr RK Anand; Ashang Kasar; Th Nanaobi Devi, Pradhan, Toubul Gram Panchayat as distinguished guests who also feted the winners, runners ups, players with exceptional talents.
N Samarjit while in his chief guest speech lauded the sponsors and organisers for making the event which encourages the young players to showcase their potential and talents, a grand success.
He also urged the sponsors to organise the same in other districts as well so that an overall development can be seen in the State and further expressed that Salai is always ready to extend possible support for the cause.
AMFA's president, S Sanatomba also highlighted the need of organising such league for the grassroots players, at least once a year and continued that if the players are groomed and honed from 6 years of years onwards, the State will see a lot of talented players in the coming years.
He also stated that AMFA will surely try to introduce the same from next year onwards.
Former Indian Captain, Renedy, who was also present on the occasion spoke highly of the sponsors and organisers as the league event will benefit the budding players of the region.
Saying that such exposure will help the young players in the long run, Renedy remarked that long term training will bring about visible improvement results in course of 3/4 years.
He also pointed that Manipur will witness a sea change development of football in few years if such baby leagues are held in other parts of the States as well.
