CRPF renovates football ground at Achanbigei

As part of civic action programme for the year 2018-19, 69 Bn, CRPF reconstructed/renovated viewer's gallery and two step stair of football ground at Achanbigei, Awang Leikai, Mantripukhri and handed it to the public by retd Brig SK Sharma, YSM, DIG, Range Imphal CRPF, today.
Syalu S Maharana, 2-IC, Ujjal Dutta, 2-IC, 69 Bn and other officers of 69 Bn, Mangi Singh, Founder NADO Football Club and Dr Subash, president, Achanbigei Awang Leikai Football Club also attended the ribbon cutting ceremony that celebrate the official inauguration of reconstructed Viewer Gallery.
Speaking as chief guest of the' event, red Brig SK Sharma emphasised upon the need of such construction in view of growing interest of youth in football and other sports.
Saying that football sports is the most vital tool of Manipuri, he exuded confidence that young footballer of Manipuri will play in National and International level in coming days and bring glory to the Country.
The gallery along with the stair were successfully renovated and put for public use because of the whole hearted efforts of the Bn under the aegis of Rajesh Kumar IPS, IGP, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, he added.
An under 19 football final match between Manga FA and NADO was played on the said ground on October 22.The Bn organised the match with the aim to impart and inculcate sense of discipline, sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participants.
CRPF will organise such event in future also, said a statement of the 69, Bn, CRPF.
