State divers shine in 10th Asian Age Group Aquatic Championship

Imphal, October 03 2019:
State players who are currently posted at Army Sports Institute, Pune added 4 gold and 2 silver in the medal tally for India in the 10th Asian Age Group Aquatic Championship 2019 organized under the aegis of Asian Swimming Federation and hosted by Swimming Federation of India from September 24 to October 2 in different parts of Bengaluru.

Out of the 13 medals collected by the Indian diving team in the competition which include 5 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze, state lad, diver K Ramananda Sharma grabbed 2 gold, 1 silver while N Wilson bagged 1 gold, 1 silver and Indibar Sairem won 1 gold, 1 silver.
K Ramananda Sharma was also awarded as the Asian best male diver for his outstanding performance in the competition.
The Indian diving team was led by the coach Malem Kunjakeshore Meetei of Lamsang Taothong Khudeiband, who is now currently working at Army Sports Institute, Pune.
