Col CK Nayudu Trophy : Boopati Vaishna ton helps Tamil Nadu take 175-run lead against Manipur on Day 2

Tamil Nadu took a 175 run lead against Manipur as they amassed 3 30 runs for 8 after 94 overs on Day 2 of the second match (Elite Group A) of the U-25 Men's Col CK Nayudu Trophy 2021-22 .
Resuming the day on 12 for none at CAP Ground 3 Puducherry, Tamil Nadu faced stiff resistance early on and they lost opener Aravind on 6 to Bidash before L Kishan Singh set up S Lokeshor run out to make it 39-2 after 18.4 overs.
B Sachin and Pradosh Ranjan produced a brilliant third wicket partnership by stitching together 108 runs off 193 balls and steadied the innings.
Jotin Pheiroijam had the courtesy to break the partnership by removing Pradosh Ranjan (62) after 50.5 overs and Nitesh Sedai dismissed Sachin for 69 to reduce Tamil Nadu to 165 for 4 in 57.3 overs.
With Bidash claiming his second in the form of S Ganesh, Tamil Nadu further slipped to 182 for 5 but Boopathi Vaishna Kumar toyed around the State bowlers and found boundaries 15 times (14 fours and 1 six) on the way to his unbeaten 114 to steer Tamil Nadu to 330 runs with able assistance from R Sonu Yadav (37) and Mohanprasath (38) at stumps.
Nitesh (2/91 runs in 26 overs) and Jotin (2/36 in 18 overs) also completed their doubles today as Alfred Hmar picked a wicket to apply break in the innings.
