XII Sadar Hills District Council Day Trophy concludes FC Khanglai crush Young Lions FC 7-0

FC Khanglai, Sadar Hills crushed Young Lions FC ,Redbulls by a margin of 7-0 to clinch the title of XII Sadar Hills District Council Day Trophy 2014, today at Brig Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi, organised by District Sports Association Sadar Hills and sponsored by Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi.
The closing ceremony was graced by Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills as chief guest with four executive members of ADC Sadar Hills, Lunthang Haokip, Seikholal Haokip, Bhumi Prasad and Seikhosat Kipgen as guests of honour.
While Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council chief executive officer Chongpu Kipgen attended as functional president and Rev NJ Thangboi, Pastor Methodist Baptist Church Kangpokpi attended as the dedication minister.
Apart from the local civil bodies various CSO leaders within Sadar Hills including Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, Kuki Women Union Sadar Hills and KSO Sadar Hills also attended the closing ceremony.

In today's final clash, the first 45 minutes of the match witnessed hard-hitting battle from FC Khanglai and Young Lions FC Redbulls even though the match went in favour of FC Khanglai with strikes from Pritam in the 33rd minute and Lamminthang in the 37 minute.
After the interval, FC Khanglai witnessed another two goals from Pritam in the 37th minute and 60th minute while three consecutive goals from FC Khanglai's TK Chon in the 77th, 79th and 80th minute made the final score 7-0 against a hapless Young Lions FC Redbulls.
Thangkhohao and Lenboi of Young Lions FC Redbulls were booked with yellow cards while Thanglenjoy of FC Khanglai was cautioned.
With 8 goals, Lammin-thang of FC Khanglai clinched the top scorer title and Young Lions FC Redbulls skipper Letgoulen bagged the best goalkeeper title while man of the match was tagged to Thanglenjoy of FC Khanglai.
A cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a trophy was awarded to FC Khanglai Sadar Hills while runner-up Young Lions FC Redbulls was awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with a trophy.
The Third place Teen's FC was awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy.
