Chingkheinganba sets new National record in Sport Climbing Competition

Imphal, May 30 2018:
International Climber Maibam Chingkheinganba was able to set a new record in the 1st IMF All India Sport Climbing (Speed) Competition held under the supervision of Indian Mountaineering Foundation at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur from May 26 to 27.Chingkheinganba took 7.10 seconds in the 15 m speed climbing event which was 0.47 seconds better from the previous National record.
Chingkheinganba, a player of Manipur Sport Climbing Association is born to Maibam Kubiheibi of Thangal Bazar.
Chingkheinganba will represent India in the Asian Games 2018 slated to begin from August 18 in Indonesia and is undertaking training under the aegis of Indian Mountaineering Foundation as a preparation for the Asian Games.
Manipur Climbing Association in its press released expressed pride over his achievement and wished him success for the upcoming ventures.
