Stage set for U-14 & U-17 boys' semifinals of Inter school Subroto football tourney

Imphal, June 28 2022:
Heirok Hr Sec School (Thoubal), Utlou High School (Bishnupur), St Peter's Hr Sec School (Chandel) and Mt Zion Hr Sec School (Senapati) qualified for the U-14 boys' semifinals, while Kinship High School (Churachandpur), SNGCM English High School (Kangpokpi), Seikhor Govt High School (Ukhrul) and CT Hr Sec School (Imphal West) made it to the U-17 boys' last four of the State Inter School Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament 2022, following the Tuesday's results.
On the last day of the U-14 boys' league round, Heirok Hr Sec School (Thoubal) produced a 5-0 hammering of Kamjong High Sehoolto to ensure their place in the semifinals.
G Bidyananda set the tone for the rout with a 4th-minute opener, K Roshan made it 2-0 one minute later and Kh Alex tripled the lead in the 18th minute before O Abi-nash scored twice (32', 35') to propel the Heirok school team to an emphatic win.
Utlou High School (Bishnupur), meanwhile, recorded a commanding 4-0 triumph over RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya (Jiribam) to end their league round campaign in style and qualify for the last four.
L Boynao (5', 35'), L Bikramjit (15') and L Belot (40') were the scorers for the Utlou school boys.
With the results, Heirok Hr Sec School will now meet St Peter's Hr Sec School (Chandel) as Utlou High School (Bishnupur) take on Mt Zion Hr Sec School (Senapati) in the U-14 boys' semifinal matches on Wednesday (June 29).Meanwhile, the U-17 boys' league stage wrapped up on Tuesday as wins by Kinship High School (Churachandpur) and SNGCM English High School (Kangpokpi) propelled the two teams to the semi finals.
Kinship High School (Churachandpur) beat RK Sanatombi School (Jiribam) 2-0 en route to the last four.
Ngamtinsei found the opener in the 29th minute and Yangkhongam doubled the lead in the 37th minute.
Kinship High School will face CT Hr Sec School (Imphal West) in the first semifinal match of the U-17 boys' event on Wednesday.
SNGCM English High School (Kangpokpi) too registered a 2-0 win against their opponents TG English School (Bishnupur) for their place in the semifinals.
Paominlun opened the scoring in the 38thminute and Kailenmoi made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute for the result.
SNGCM English High School will play Seikhor Govt High School (Ukhrul) in the U-17 boys' second semifinal match on the same day (June 29) .
