2nd Tikendrajit Memorial Football : UBSA, DYA script emphatic wins

UBSA, Mantak and DYA Elangkhangpokpi registered huge wins to continue their unbeaten runs in the 2nd Ksh Tikendrajit Singh Memorial U-13 Boys State Level Invitation Football Tournament being organised under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association by District Sports Association Kakching at DSA playground.
UBSA, Mantak thrashed SWC, Keirak 4-0 in the first league match today while DYA, Elangkhangpokpi drubbed SAO, Kakching Wairi by 6-1 goals in a very one sided match.
UBSA, Mantak made a slow start as they took a 1 -0 lead in the first half before wrapping up the game 4-0.Vicky found the opener in the 27th minute after a keen contest from both ends.
After the break, UBSA changed gear and intensified their raids.
They did not wait long for the second goal as Henary made a superb strike after getting close enough which was too fast for the custodian of the Keirak to make it 2-0 in the 35th minute.
Vicky then rose again to slot home the third goal in the 40th minute before Padmajit also took his turn to score a single and gave his team a comfortable 4-0 victory against SWC who are yet to register a win in the tournament so far.
The second match was more entertaining as DYA enjoyed a landslide win against SAO who are one place ahead of lowly SWC with one point each in the league table.
Rustam of DYA was unstoppable as he scored a hattrick before Lemba scored a single.
The other two goals came in the form of own goals as nervy Abas and Rohil netted own goals.
SAO made a positive start as N Herojit scored the opener in the 16th minute but was equalised by E Rustam in the 29th minute to go into the break with a 1-1 draw.
After the restart, E Rustam broke the deadlock in the 38th minute before he completed his hattrick in the 52nd minute.
An own goal by Abas made it 3-1 before O Lemba of DYA scored a single in the 51 st minute to make it 4-1 .
N Rohil did another mistake and sent the ball into their own net in the 58th to make it 6-1 .
