T Inunganbi wins gold at Khelo India University Games

Manipur University's Judokan T Inunganbi has won a gold medal at the 1st Khelo India University Games 2020 being held at Calicut Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar from Feb 22.Manipur University has so far bagged one gold in Judo, a silver and a bronze in fencing.
T Inunganbi, a student of Biramangol College Sawombung, bagged the gold medal in the women's 63 Kg category by beating Rakhila from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala.
The Manipur University's judo team is being led by Chingkheinganbi Huirem and B Surja Sharma as coach and manager respectively.
It may be mentioned that Linthoi Haobam, a 5th-semester student at GP Women's College representing Manipur University had bagged a silver medal in epee individual fencing competition at the Games.
In men's epee event, Th Bomai Singh (Biramangol College); N Robert Singh (Institute of Co-operative Management); M Bijen Singh (Kamakhya Pemton College) and K Napoleon (Standard College) clinched a bronze medal for MU.
Soniya Bomjan representing Manipur University has also reached semifinals of 60 Kg women boxing event.
