NYTHC exterminate WFC, fail to top the group

Imphal, March 26 2015:
NYTHC Okramchuthek marched into the semi final after annihilating WFC Kakching in the final group match of Group A in the 10th Soraisham Ronika Memorial Junior Girls State Level Football Tournament at Artificial Turf Ground on Thursday.
NYTHC joint ESU Wangkhei as the second best team in Group A.After the end of the group match ESU and NYTHC had same point (4 each) but ESU was declared the group winner due to superior goal difference.

NYTHC had to defeat WFC by a huge margin in order to top the table but fell short of the target by a whisker as they could shake the back of WFC net 7 times only.
Ronika initiated the chase when her attempt in the first minute get passed WFC custodian.
Ronika's goal lifted the spirit of NYTHC and they pressed hard to increase the margin.
Ranjita did the bulk of the scoring by firing in 4 goals in 14; 21; 35; and 40+1 min.
Achoubi break the linear mode of scoring goals by Ranjita when she scored in the 28 min of the match.
WFC got free from the shackle of NYTHC dominance when H Daya scored a goal in the 31 min through a swift counter attack.
At the breather NYTHC leads WFC by 6-1 .
In a repeat of first half, Ronika again left WFC defenders and custodian bewildered when she scored in the 42 min after the breather.
After the goal, contrary to proceedings of the first half WFC came back strongly and thwart further scoring attempts of NYTHC rather added one more to the team score through E Chaoba in the dying minute of the match (78 min) .
On Friday, NYVSO Keibi will lock horns with KRYPSA Naoremthong while AMMA Football Club Andro will face off SSC Sekta to decide the group winners in Group B .
The championship is being organised by Imphal West Football Association under the guidance of All Manipur Football Association.
