Air India, AP dominate in Jr National Badminton C'ships

Air India players dominated the day while Andhra Pradesh followed close in the 37th Junior National Badminton Championships organised by Manipur Badminton Association (MBA) under the aegis of Badminton Association of India (BAI) at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak Imphal.
In U-17 girls singles, Reshma Karthik of Air India beat Karishma Wadkar of Maharashtra in the first semi final and entered final.
In the second semi final, Ruthvika Shivani of Andhra Pradesh beat Rituparna Das of West Bengal and entered final.
In U-17 boys singles, Harsheel Dani and Aditya Joshi both of Air India entered the final round.
In the first semis, Harsheel Dani beat Rahul Yadav of Andhra Pradesh while Aditya Joshi of beat Siril Varma of Andhra Pradesh in the second semis.
In U-19 girls singles, Rituparna Das of West Bengal will fight Ruthvika Shivani of Andhra Pradesh in the final.
Rituparna Das of West Bengal defeated Arathi Sara Sunil of Kerala in the first semis and in the second semi final, Ruthvika Shivani of Andhra Pradesh beat Reshma karthik of Air India to enter the final round.
In U-19 mixed doubles, the pair of Hemanagendra Babu and Meghana of Andhra Pradesh beat the pair of Kaustav Deka and Ningshi Block Hazarika of Assam in the first semis and entered the final round.
In the second semi final, the pair of Gopi Raju of Air India and Poorvisha S Ram of Karnataka got walk over win against the Karnataka pair of Sankeerth BR and Devika Ravindra.
Meanwhile in U-19 girls doubles, Meghana J and Maneeshar of Andhra Pradesh defeated Sindhu Bhradwaj and Devika Ravindra of Karnataka in the first semi final match and entered final.
Harsheel Dani of Air India defeated Pratul Joshi of Air India in the first semi final of U-19 boys singles.
In the second semi final, Aditya Joshi of Air India beat Arshalan Naqvi of Uttar Pradesh and entered the final round.
In U-17 girls doubles, Sruthi KP and Farha Mather of Kerala beat Roshini Muthukumar and Kashmaas of Tamil Nadu in the first semi final to enter the final round.
