AMOFA felicitates Dheeraj Moirangthem

All Moirang Football Association (AMOFA) today felicitated star goal-keeper of the U-17 Indian squad, Dheeraj Moirangthem at Moirang Phairembam Mandab .
The felicitation programme was graced by president of AMOFA, P Sharatchandra, MLA Moirang Kendra, as chief guest.
In his speech Sharatchandra expressed pride and hailed Moirang for producing a talented goal-keeper like Dheeraj who took part in one of the most prestigious football events of the world .
The MLA pledged collective efforts and support to make Dheeraj a more successful and one of the most decorated players of the world in the future .
Sharatchandra thanked all supporters and guides of Dheeraj Moirangthem, local guardians, parents, family members and relatives for their role in bringing up Dheeraj to the present status and expressed his desire to continue the support and encouragement.
He praised Dheeraj who has become a youth idol in the region, the State and the Nation at large, for his exceptional talent.
He appealed to all to go forward and produce more spirited and dedicated players like Dheeraj .
Dheeraj Moirangthem was encouraged with a sum of Rs 50,000 by Sharatchandra during the function.
Hemam Tomboy, social worker also handed Rs 10,000 to Dheeraj as an encouragement from his side .
Chairperson of Moirang Municipal Council, Moirangthem Romibala Devi, other councillors, working president of AMOFA, M Raju Singh and other members of the association also attended the simple function and expressed happiness over the performance of Dheeraj Singh in the world cup.
They also promised all possible help from their ends for other upcoming players of the region .
M Raju also expressed gratitude to Phairembam Surendra who happens to be the first coach of Dheeraj Moirangthem on behalf of AMOFA.
