PTA, UTA shine on Day 3 of 16thTaekwondo Cup

Pakhangba Taekwondo Academy (PTA) made the most of Day 3 of the 10th Governor's Taekwondo Cup as Union Taekwondo Academy (UTA) continued their impressive form on Saturday.
The day's competition saw PTA win five gold, four silver and six bronze medals.
Ph Dikash (sub-jr boys 23kg), L Diamond (sub-jr boys 35kg), Gunjan Kakali (sub-jr girls 20kg), Ph Janiya Chanu (sub-jr girls 32kg) and Bidyananda Ph (cadet boys 41kg) all claimed top podium honours for PTA.
The Pakhangba team bagged their silver medals courtesy of Kh Thouna (cadet boys 41kg), Seram Priyokumar (cadet boys 61kg), Lourembam Newzeland (cadet boys 65kg) and Jetlee Chabungbam (senior men 74kg) .
PTA's bronze medallists were Aryan Moirangthem (sub-jr boys 23kg), Bonny Sanjenbam (sub-jr boys 35kg), Elangbam Summerson (cadet boys 41kg) and K Kangleinganba (sub-jr boys 38kg) .
UTA, meanwhile, replicated their Friday's performances by claiming four gold and three silver medals, coupled with nine bronze to stay atop the medal table.
Moirangthem Sanahal (senior men 63kg), Ranbir Moirangthem (senior men 74kg), Priyanka Leilamthem (senior women 62kg) and Irengbam Chingkheinganbi (cadet girls 55 kg) secured a gold medal each for UTA.
The team bagged three more silver medals through Th Tombisana Chanu (sub-jr girls 32kg), L Yaiphaba Meitei (senior men 63kg) and Akoijam Devika (senior women 53kg) .
Also, UTA took nine bronze medals with the help of K Sanajaoba (senior men 74kg), Usham Gunapati (senior women 53kg), Yumnao Abenao (senior women 53kg), Tomthinganba Konsam (sub-jr boys 23kg), Sinam Dianmond (cadet boys 61kg), Rehana Nongmaithem (cadet girls 37kg), N Thoibi Chanu (cadet girls 37kg), P Kishan (junior boys 51kg) and S Dondonsana (sub-jr girls 32kg).On the other hand, Taekwondo Training School (Marjing) clinched four gold and one silver medals on the third day of the competition as Ch Lenin Singh (junior boys 73kg), K Punshiba (cadet boys 41kg), Khaidem Borish (cadetboys 65kg) and L Hemba Meitei (sub-jr boys 38kg) emerged as the top finishers for the Marjing team.
Both SAIRC and NSA also made their presence felt by winning two gold medals each while IMRTA and HTA bagged one gold medal each.
