9th East Zone Softball C'ship Manipur to face Odisha in women's final

Imphal, December 02 2017:
Manipur women’s team will meet Odisha in the title clash of the 9th East Zone Softball Championship 2017 organised by Manipur Softball Association at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex .
In the women’s match played today, Odisha blanked West Bengal 10-0 to set up the summit clash with Manipur which secured a 5-0 win against West Bengal in another match played today.
Yesterday Manipur suffered a 3-4 defeat to Odisha .
Rashmi and Payal scored two runs each for Odhisa while Sweety, Babita, Alibha, Tulsi Rubhi and Jyoti scored one each to give Odisha a 10-0 win against West Bengal .
For Manipur, Manorama, Abi, Chanchan, Preety and Ranjana scored one run each to book their place in the final .
Manipur men’s team will meet Nagaland in the first semi-final match tomorrow in the morning session while Assam will play Odisha in the second semi-final match.
The final match will be held in the evening session .
In a Group A league match, Manipur defeated Bihar 7-0.Sanjose took 2 runs for Manipur followed by Lalit, Johny, Ajit, Nongdamba and Romario with one run each .
In another Group A league match, Assam beat Bihar 10-0.Nagar and Akash scored two runs each followed by one run each from Bikas, Ritul, Ashis, Akhilesh, Prasanjit and Hari to make it 10 runs for Assam .
In a Group B league match, Nagaland defeated West Bengal 11-1.For Nagaland, Biki, Apno, Anil and Mark took 2 runs while Babloo, Pradip and Nutido contributed one run each .
In another match, Odisha defeated Nagaland 5-3.Nar Prabal Shah, Padika Kiran, Anilkumar, Sourabhrath and Rajkumar Majahi scored one runs for Odisha while Nutillo and Shankar scored 2 runs and 1 run respectively for Nagaland .
In the last Group league match, Odisha defeated West Bengal 10-0 to book their place in the semi-final.
Siddhart and Rajendro managed to take 2 runs each followed by Prabal, Duri, Pediku, Aneet Samir, Muniram and Rajkumar who scored one each to sum up the 10 runs for Orissa.
