'Fit India Plog Run' held

Imphal, October 02 2019:
As part of 150th Birth Anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi, Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) organised a "Fit India Plog Run" at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, today.
The Plog Run organised with an aim to make fit and clean India was flagged off by MOA's senior vice president, GA Ibopishak Sharma, who along with other members of MOA, sports persons of various disciplines and students of National Sports Academy cleaned the premises of the sports complex.

A similar run was also organised by Sports Authority of India, North East Regional Centre (SAI-NERC), Takyel, Imphal.
The run was flagged off by Arjuna Awardee N Dingku.
Players, coaches, administrative staff and students of SAI-NERC took part in the run which started from SAI-NERC, Takyel and went through Khuraijam Leirak, Tera Keithel, Loukrakpam Leikai, Takyel Khongban before culminating at the starting point again.
The participants also picked up plastic and other waste along the course of the run.
