Sadar Hills Football Fans Club (SHIFFAC) today condemned the alleged biased attitude of All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) over the scrapping of JSYC, Sadar Hills in the men's final match of the 20th Winner's Cup played yesterday.
SHIFFAC vehemently condemned AMFA's decision on JSYC, Sadar Hills as 'hugely disappointing and totally wrong' .
"We were disappointed to see the late deliberate decision of AMFA to scrap JSYC Sadar Hills in the men's final match of the 20th Winner's Cup", said SHIFFAC president Peegee.
He continued that such shocking decision and the overwhelming intentional assessment of the football governing body of the State disgusted not only the officials and players of the club but also thousands of their fans and supporters.
Scrapping at such a stage causes considerable inconvenience to the supporters and fans said Peegee while adding that such decision is abhorrent and has no room in football or society.
He also alleged that AMFA, despite fully aware of the fact that JSYC officials had submitted the loaning forms of Ng Bedeenpar Moyon, took a late night decision of scrapping JSYC so as to give opportunity to the valley clubs in the next MSL.
"The disgusting decision of AMFA clearly sends out a strong signal to, not only JSYC, but the whole of tribal football clubs in the State, that you cannot qualify and think the sincerity you have put in are sufficient to deal with the scourge of discrimination, fanaticism, and segregation of the governing body," Peegee added.
Peegee also believed that the decision of AMFA will have an affect football fans and AMFA programs next season in the hill districts of the State.
He also alleged that the football governing body and the fanatical majority are perpetrating fear to demoralize the tribal people's spirits, courage, and determination of life and love of sports.
He further said that the tribal football fans were also deeply disappointed over the performance of AMFA officials in most of the matches when tribal football clubs played valley based clubs.
Inevitably, such disappointing conduct of AMFA officials in the field will lead to segregation and communal incidents among various football lovers and clubs, added Peegee.
Further, Peegee warned that SHIFFAC are prepared to ban the chauvinistic AMFA, if it fails to resolve the issue at the earliest while conveying it inexorable support to JSYC, Sadar Hills.
SHIFFAC would also keep an eye on the performance of AMFA officials during FC Zalen, Sadar Hills and NEROCA match in the knock-out round of the ongoing MSL.
