SAFF U-15 India finish second in group league, qualify for final

Imphal, December 22 2017:
The India women team ended their winning run today as they suffered a 0-3 defeat to the host Bangladesh in the final group encounter of the ongoing SAFF U-15 Women's Championship at BSSSM Mostofa Kamal Stadium, Kamlapur .
With home support, the host team had a upper hand today and took a 2-0 by the end of the first half.
Anuching Mogini registered the first goal of the match in the 32nd minute through a well taken shot while the second goal came during the stoppage time (45+1′) through a penalty kick converted by Shamsunnahar .

The Indian side which defeated Bhutan and Nepal convincingly could not produce a better side today in the first half and conceded one more goal in the second half to finish second in the league standing.
Monica Chakma of Bangladesh who was lurking around the edge of the box managed to collect a fine pass from the midfield and fired in a stinging shot in the 54th minute and handed her team a convincing 3-0 win .
India will face the same team in the final on Dec 24 .
