Manipur collect 15 medals at Sr Wushu Nationals

Manipur wushu athletes have so far amassed 15 medals including 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 28th Senior National Wushu Championship which is underway at Jammu since December 26 under the auspices of Wushu Association of India.
Leimapokpam Sanatombi earned Manipur two gold medal by finishing first in the Taijiquan and Taijijian events while Angom Sanathoibi have added three medals, one gold each in Nanquan and Nandao events and a bronze medal in the Nangun event.
Takhelmayum Arita Devi also won a gold medal in the Nangun event before fetching a silver medal in the Nanquan event.
Namoijam Pushpa fetched Manipur another silver medal in the Taijiquan event and finished with a bronze medal in the Taijijian event.
Laishram Bijeshori then won a silver medal in the women's Baguazhang event.
Loitam Jenny Devi also earned a bronze medal in the Taijijian event to help Manipur amass 5 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals in Taolu events.
In the women's 56 kg Sanshou event, Haobijam Kunjeshori laid her hands on the gold medal while her compatriot Naorem Roshibina Devi won another gold medal in the 60 kg event.
Naorem Romita settled for a silver medal in the 48 kg event as Thongam Aruna too won a silver medal in the 52 kg category to help Manipur claim 2 gold and 2 silver medals in Sanshou events.
