ESU, YWC secure landslide wins in U-17 Khelo India Women's League

Kimnunsang and Chonmaya, duo ran riot to collect 7 goals en route to ESU's 13-0 demolition of PLL today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in the ongoing U-17 Khelo India Women's League 2019.The game was already wrapped up in the opening half itself as Gracy M opened the floodgate in the 7th minute before Chonmaya (11', 33', 37') and Kimnunsang (16', 21', 34') grabbed three goals each and Ng Pinku (32') added a single to make it 8-0 at the stroke of the first half as PLL were never seen in contest.
PLL failed to resist after the break as well with ESU piling up more pressure in search of more goals and it was in the 41st minute that N Shivani hit the team's 9th goal before N Pinky hit the 10th in the 61st minute.
The onslaught continued as Kimnunsang was at the fore looking for her fourth goal which she did get in the 69th minute.
M Roshibala then scored the team's 12th goal in the 71st minute before M Promila slammed home the final nail in the first minute of the stoppage time.
The day also saw YWC, Langthabal decimate Lenlai Club (LC) , Churachandpur by 11-0 goals as Hoineihat and Thoibisana hit trebles.
YWC got off to a flying start dominating the ball and creating a series of attack that shook LC defence and led the first half 5-0 after Kimte Langel opened up the account early in the 3rd minute.
Hoineihat doubled the lead within two minutes before T Thoibisana also opened up her account in the 12th minute.
Kimte Langel then carried forward the momentum scoring her team's fourth goal in the 20th minute while Baby Lanchendami struck the fifth during the additional time of the first half (35'+1').As LC failed to resist, Moilungsiam extended the lead to 6-0 in the 50th minute and Hoineihat struck her second in the 51st minute before completing her treble in the 69th minute.
Thoithoi too got her name on the scoresheet for adding a single for ESU in the 64th minute while Thoibisana grabbed her second in the 65th minute before striking the final nail in the 70th minute.
