Laitonjam Lanchenba wins swimming gold in Sub-Junior Aquatic Nationals

Imphal, June 24 2022:
Laitonjam Lanchenba made Manipur proud at 38th Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship 2022 by winning gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke event.
Lanchenba topped the event with a time of 1:21.29 in the U-11 age group to earn Manipur a gold medal today in the championship being underway at Rajkot, Gujarat under the supervision of Swimming Federation of India.

Lanchenba, son of L Kanta Singh and L Ongbi Sonia, is an athlete of Central Swimming Club, Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal and currently trains under international swimmer T Thouba at Modern College swimming pool.
The young athlete had also won a medal in the previous edition of the championship.
H Gojen is leading the State team at the National championship as coach cum manager.
