IEDFA Super League match stopped as fan assaults referee

Imphal, September 23 2016:
Match between PYA, Kairang and ABA, Kshetrigao of the ongoing MK Ghanendraj it Memorial super division football league tournament 2016 organised by IEDFA was stopped in the 64th minute after the referee of the match was assaulted by a fan of PYA today.
The scoreline was 4-1 in favour of ABA when the match was stopped.
A fan of PYA strongly protested the fourth goal of ABA scored by SM Ali in the 64th minute saying that the ball came into contact with the hand of the player before scoring the goal.
The fan even assaulted the centre referee prompting the officials to stop the match.
Meanwhile, IEDFA informed that all the remaining matches of the MK Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division league tournament 2016 and Moirangthem Ibobi Memorial 1st division league tournament 2016 are postponed until further order due to 'raining.
' In a statement, IEDFA also said that an emergency executive council meeting of IEDFA will be held on Sept 24 at 2 pm at the office of the association.

MHGAU, Hatta Golapati trounced BPYC, Bashikhong today 4-0 in the ongoing Moirangthem Ibobi Memorial first division football league tournament 2016 organised by IEDFA.
M Stalin gave MHGAU an early lead when he slammed home one in the 6th minute.
Wijurahman, Md Mustad and M Johnson took charge to score a goal each to earn full points to MHGAU.
BISHNUPUR 1ST DIVISION .
CRESA, Bishnupur beat TYA 3-1 in the ongoing 3rd H Pishak Memorial 1 st division football league organised by DSA Bishnupur at Mini stadium, Bishnupur today.
Lanjagai of CRESA scored the opener in the 35th minute only to be equalised by Brojendro of TYA in the 46th minute.
However, a goal each by Rabi and Athang in the 54th and 59th minute respectively sealed the victory of CRESA.
In another encounter, UKCCL came from behind to drub BFA 6-1.It was Heroba of BFA who drew first blood in the 4th minute.
However, Nanao of UKCCL restored parity in the 17th minute.
A minute later, it was raining goals for UKCCL as Rustum scored one in the 18th minute.
Nanao struck his second in the 31 st minute while Shanta also grabbed a brace (45th and 62nd minute) and Manao contributed one in UKCCL's 6-1 win.
