Churachandpur, June 20 2018:
A strong title contender and tournament heavyweights Muvanlai Athletics today fell to Headquarters SC by 5-4 margin in a penalty shoot-out after drawing 1-1 at Lamka Public Ground in the second semi-final of Raja Goukhothang Guite Football Memoriam 2018 conducted by Churachandpur DSA and Ropiang Foundation Trust.

They however could not find another through the regulation time and three added minutes despite having a distinct advantage in possession.
Headquarters SC tweaked their forms in the second half shifting to a more attacking formation as they set their sight on the equalizer.
In the 81st minute, they found an equaliser off a poor clearance by Muvanlai defence.
The ball fell to Roshan who scored to make it 1-1.The two sides peppered their rivals' goal late on.
Neither team could find the winning goal in the regulation as well as an added time of 3 minutes and remained tied at 1-1, resulting in a penalty shootout.
In the shoot-out, Muvanlai Athletics missed the first penalty kick out of five while Headquarters SC buried all their shot to secure a final berth, and effectively eliminated Muvanlai from the tournament.
