28th All Manipur Shooting Competition : Nongmaithem Jubaraj shoots gold for IEDRA

Imphal, June 13 2018: Nongmaithem Jubaraj Singh of Imphal East District Rifle Association clinched a gold medal in the 10 M Men's Individual 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle Championship of the 28th All Manipur Shooting Competition 2018 being organised at Khuman Lampak Shooting Range by Manipur Rifle Association today with a total score of 385 points.

Labish Oinam and Gurumayum Deyjeet Singh of BSISC claimed the second and the third spot with a total score of 380 and 373 points.

Jubaraj, Labish and Deyjeet with the respective scores finished with the same rankings in the 10 M sub-junior, junior men and youth men individual championships.

Centre Fire Pistol Championships
Kongbrailatpam Asish Sharma of IWDRA won the gold medal in the 25 M Junior Men Individual Centre Fire Pistol Championship shooting a total of 219 points while Jupiter Ashem of JSRIPS settled for silver with a score of 182 points.

Sports Pistol Championships
Minerva Labuktongbam of IWDRA clinched 25 MWomen's individual Sports Pistol Championship title scoring total of 252 points while Irengbam Reema and Nikita Khulem of the same unit claimed the silver and the bronze medals with 251 and 248 points.

Minerva Labuktongbam (252 points), Nikita Khulem (248 points) and Thoudam Merisana (237 points) of IEDRA claimed the gold, silver and bronze medal respectively in the 25 M junior women's event.

Air Pistol Championships
Naorem Kadajit of IWDRA laid his hand on the gold medal in the 10 M Men's Individual Air Pistol Championship shooting 368 points while Kabib Kather and Joychand Thoidingjam of IEDRA bagged the silver medal and the bronze medal respectively with 366 and 351 points.

In the youth men's individual 10 M Air Pistol championship, Andrew Telheiba emerged winner with a score of 359 points while Phurailatpam Rahul Sharma of IEDRA and Yumnam Moramba of IWDRA finished second and third with 351 and 347 points respectively.

In the 10 M women's individual Air Pistol Championship, Nikita Khulem was able to fetch a gold medal with a score of 357 points.

Sylvia Loukrakpam of IEDRA bagged the silver medal scoring 353 points while Greendland Wangjam of BSISC won the bronze medal with 348 points.

The three shooters also claimed the respective medals for Junior women individual events with the same scoreline.

Sylvia Loukrakpam of IEDRA scored 353 points to fetch a gold medal in the 10 M youth women's individual championship while Greendland Wangjam of BSISC and Khullakpam Sultana of IEDRA won the silver and the bronze medals respectively with 348 and 340 points.

Phurailatpam Rahul Sharma and Amakcham Yohenba Meitei of IEDRA fetched gold and silver medal respectively in the 10 M sub-junior men individual championship with 351 and 350 points while Jenish Moirangthem claimed the bronze medal with 338 points.
