Chalou Cup LSIC, Lamlai thrash EUSC Tellou

Imphal, February 11 2014:
A fine combination and good understanding among the players of LSIC, Lamlai saw them beat EUSC Tellou by a margin of 4 goals to one in the ongoing Chalou Cup today.
Adopting an attacking approach, the team from Lamlai took control of the game from the start and began testing the defence of EUSC with quick forays from either side of the flank.
With the Lamlai players spread all over and dominating in every department of the game, M Kabiraj was bang on target in the 11th minute of the match.
The LSIC players however did not rest on their one goal lead and kept on tormenting the defence of EUSC with quick runs down the flanks and firmly controlling the midfield.
Their relentless attack yielded another goal in the 22nd minute when the ball went to an unmarked W Gokulchandra who was lurking near the top of the penalty box.
Gokulchandra had the time and space to take a well measured shot at the goal, which disturbed the net and LSIC were up by two goals in the 22nd minute.
The third goal came in the 33rd minute of the match, when Th Sunil took posession of the ball half way into the territory of EUSC and after outpacing a couple of defenders let loose a powerful kick that caught the custodian of EUSC rooted to the ground.
Against the run of play, EUSC found a consolation goal, when Ng Jiten took advantage of a defensive lapse and found the target in the 39th minute.
The lemon break was taken with LSIC leading by three goals to one.
After the break, LSIC was at it again when Th Oken was on target in the 46th minute to complete the rout.
SWA, Sekta outplay NEYO-B, Sanjenbam : SWA Sekta, Awang Leikai came from behind to outplay NEYO-B Sanjenbam by a margin of 4 goals to two in another Group A match of the day today.
An energetic NEYO-B took the lead as early as the 11th minute of the game when W Dekan was bang on target to beat the custodian of SWA hands down and help take his team the lead.
Undaunted by the one goal deficit, the SWA players re-organised themselves and started making forays into the territory of
their rival team.
Their efforts finally paid off when Y Bishal found the net in the 17th minute to restore parity.
NEYO-B however came back with a bang just one minute later with W Dekan scoring his second goal in the 18th minute to put his team ahead again.
Things however took a completely different turn with Y Chittrasen coming into his elements to net the ball in the 40th and 48th minute of the match to help his team take a one goal lead.
W Inaobi of SWA scored in the 49th minute the seal the match by a margin of 4 goals to 2 .
