12th NE Tamchon Football tourney : Ukhrul FC demolish Garo Warriors 9-0, Zeliangrong FC hold Valor FC

Zeliangrong FC played out a 1-1 draw with Valor FC while Ukhrul FC decimated Garo Warriors FC by 9-0 goals in today's Group B league matches of the ongoing 12th North East Tamchon Football Tournament 2018 hosted by the Tangkhul Naga Society Delhi since October 6 at Dr Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi.
Hmar FC also sealed a huge 5-2 win over Gorkha United FC in a Group C league match staged latter.
In the first Group B league match of the day, Valor FC which enjoyed a 1-0 lead through Mahender Singh's strike in the 31st minute were held to a 1-1 draw by Zeliangrong FC.
The equaliser which saved the Zeliangrong FC for suffering their first loss, was scored by Manik Rathi in the 70th minute.
In the second Group B league match, Ukhrul FC banked on Reisangmei Vashum's 5 goals to secure a landslide 9-0 win over Garo Warriors FC.
PK Ngachonhor found the opener in the 10th minute before Reisangmei Vashum opened the floodgate with his first strike and his teams' second in the 18th minute.
Khangatar Tungshangnao hit the third goal for the Ukhrul side in the 27th minute to make it 3-0 while Reisangmei banged in 3 goals back to back in the 32', 34', 38' and make it 6-0.Reisangmei continued to prove as nightmare for Garo Wariors and it was in the 57th minute that he slotted his 5th goal before Ngaraipam K Stone (64') and K Thotmaya Vashum (66') completed the 9-0 demolition of Garo Warriors FC.
With this win Ukhrul FC has climbed to Group B pole position with 6 points from two wins while Zeliangrong FC slipped to second place.
The third match of the day saw Hmar FC drubbed Gorkha United FC by 5-2 goals with the help of a brace by Micheal Chongthuo (48', 58').Abhishek Rawat (33'), Akhilesh Devreni (35') and Ken Leivang (67') also contributed one goal each to help Hmar FC secure a huge 5-2 victory.
The two goals for Gorkha United FC were scored by Soraisam Rajiv Singh (13') and Dewasish Rai (55') .
