Churachandpur 1st Div League SAFC egde past LFC, ZOFC hold MSYC

SAFC edged past LFC 3-2 while ZOFC held MSYC to a 2-2 draw in today’s matches of the Churachandpur First Division League 2017 organised by Churachandpur District Sports Association at Peace ground, Tuibong .
In the first encounter, SAFC fought back hard from two goal deficit to beat LFC 3-2.It was Paominlun who turned the table as he managed to struck twice and gave SAFC the narrow win .
T Ginmuansang of LFC sent home the ball very early in the 1st minute.
Barely after a couple of minutes, he struck his second goal to establish 2-0 lead against SAFC .
Stung by the double deficit, Paominlun deftly brought the ball near the goal area and pulled back one goal in the 10th minute to reduce the deficit by one goal.
Ten minutes later, he emerged again in the rival penalty area and outstepped few defenders and unleashed a powerful shot which beat the custodian of LFC to level the score at 2-2.Both teams continued their raids.
One attempt in the late 44th minute favoured SAFC as Jangkhochon Haokip struck home the ball to make it 3-2 in favour of his team .
After the breather, SAFC pushed hard to extend the lead while at the same time LFC also launched many offensive runs to find the leveller but defence lines of SAFC skillfully managed to deter all possible moves that would affect the scoreline till the final whistle .
In another encounter of the day, ZOFC fought hard against MSYC to finish the game in a 2-2 stalemate .
The first half saw rapid attacks from both sides trying to open their accounts.
In the 10th minute, ZOFC were able to score the first goal through Thanglianmang who got a nice pass in the inner territory of MSYC to take the lead.
However, the lead did not last long as MSYC’s Paokhojang brought the equaliser in the 18th minute .
The parity did not satisfy MSYC and they continued their attacks.
Their efforts paid off with another goal in the 25th minute through Paogoulen Khongsai and extended the scoreline to 2-1 against ZOFC .
ZOFC also worked relentlessly to save the match and they were also successful in restoring level as Hangjamuel found a crack in the defence line of MSYC and struck home the ball into the far corner of the net in the 31st minute .
The remaining minutes saw both teams trying hard to break the deadlock but ended without any result as their defensive formations stuck well and firm preventing all possible intrusion.
