State Level Invitation Gymnastic Championship-2019 begins

The 2nd State Level Invitation Gymnastic Championship organised by All Manipur Gymnastic Association has kicked off today at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak today.
The inaugural function of the championship was attended by Lukhosei Haokip, Deputy Director Youth Affairs and Sports; Dr N Binabon Singh, vice president, All Manipur Gymnastic Association; L Tiken Singh, executive member All Manipur Gymnastic Association; Y Bony Singh, DYASO Imphal East and Shyamsunder, Prof National Sports University as dignitaries.
The opening day of the championship saw Manipur's Preeti Naorem win a gold medal in the U-8 girls floor exercise event securing 9.50 points.
Meymi Chanu of Manipur bagged the silver with 9.00 points while Aradhya of Manipur and Salam Lingenthoibi of Assam claimed the bronze medals with 8.80 points.
Gracemi Pangambam won the floor exercise gold for U-10 girls with 16.65 points while Sanaleika Phougeishangbam who secured 12.70 claimed the silver medal.
Manipur's Thongam Linthoi and Assam's Mayur Monami Das bagged the bronze medals.
Manipur's Oinam Bandana struck two gold medals, first in the vaulting table for U-12 girls where she scored a total of 14.10 points and another in the balancing beam in which she managed 14.10 points.
Hirom Tanuja Chanu and Thokchom Pravtiva Devi also bagged the silver and bronze medals respectively in both the events.
Huirem Jesika Devi on the other hand claimed another gold medal for Manipur in the vaulting table event for U-16 girls by securing 11.40 points.
Mathiuhuailiu Bibiana Pame of Manipur claimed the silver medal with 10.90 points in her name and Nisha Show finised with the bronze medals after her score of 10.80 points.
Mathiuhuailiu Bibiana Pame fetched the balancing beam title with 10.60 points beating Huiren Jesika's 9.30 and Nisha Show's 6.0 scores.
In the Horizontal Bar event boys under 12 years event, Thokchom Abinash bagged gold medal with 8.20 pts while Hawaibam Premraj Khuman (2.85 pts) and Peter Naorem (0.70 pts) finished with silver and bronze medals respectively.
Thokchom Abinash sealed another gold for the State in boys under 12 years parallel bar event by registering 12.60 pts, Peter Naorem clinched silver and Konthoujam Neldish Singh secured a bronze medal.
Thokchom Abinash showed his mettle by winning one more gold medal in boys under 12 years roman rings event with 12.50 pts.
Konthoujam Neldish Singh and Hawaibam Premraj Khuman got silver and bronze medals in the event.
