5th Thongju Kendra Games : NYTHC emerge champions of Thongju Cup

NYTHC, Okram Chuthek beat BPYC, Bashikhong by 3-1 goals in the final of the 6th Thongju Cup organised by Thongju Kendra United Clubs' Association at SWC Ground, Khongman.
NYTHC's winning goals were scored by H Malemnganba (9'), K Premjit (42') and OK Dungdung (57') while the single goal of the losing side was scored by M Umakanta in the 38th minute of the match.
SWC were able to finish third with a 3-1 win over WYLKO, Kongba.
SWC's goal were scored by S Ranjit (21', 38') and S Pradipkumar (40').The lone goal for the Kongba side was netted by L Tarun in the 43rd minute of the match.
H Bony of WYLCO bagged the best goalkeeper award while NYTHC K Bankim claimed the best defender title of the tournament.
BPYC's L Bharat bagged the best midfielder title while L Ronaldo of MMC bagged the best forward title.
O Ajoy of NYTHC was adjudged the man of the final match title while Ch Churchill fetches the top scorer title with 12 goals in his name.
OK Rohit also claimed best player of the tournament award.
BPYC finish third in Hockey Competition .
BPYC clinched the third place title of the hockey competition being held at Akampat as a part of the 5th Thongju Kendra Games organised by Thongju Kendra United Clubs' Association with a huge 13-4 win against SEYO today.
BPYC took a 4-0 lead till the 11th minute through goals scored by Th Gittaranjan (3'), N Gunamani (7th), Th Herojit (9') and Th Tompok (IT) before the two teams went into the break with a 4-1 scoreline.
The single goal in this half was scored by N Herojit in the 24th minute.
After the break, Th Tompok emerged unstoppable as he struck 4 goals (30', 38', 39', 43') alone while Th Gittaranjan added two more goals (3(3', 35').Th Rakesh also chipped in one goal in the 37th minute.
N Herojit scored another goal for SEYO in the 31st minute while Ksh Sumeshkanta scored two goals (41', 42') to make it 4-11.Th Tompok and N Gunamani then chipped in one goal each in the 44th and the 47th minute to wrap the game 13-4 .
