Cheengkhu Premier Cup : Liwa Changning YCC emerge triumph in high octane 2nd semifinal to meet Chumbang FC in final

Excitement were ran high in the second semifinal of the ongoing 8th Cheengkhu Premier Cup, a village level football tournament organised by Cheengkhu Youth Club at Mini Stadium, Chandel Christian today between Phunchung YC and LIWA Changning YCC in their effort to seal a place in the final.
However, LIWA Changning YCC held on to their nerves in the kick from penalty mark to seal the match with 5-4 goals after the score was tied at 1-1 at the end of the regulation time.
LIWA Changning YCC is one game away from the title and will battle it out with Chumbang FC in the final on August 10 at 2 pm.
In the first half, Damme gave the first breakthrough for LIWA Changning YCC in the 40th minute and put his team in the commanding position with 1-0 lead.
However, Konnwar of Phunchung YC cashed on a chance created in the 68th minute and guided in the equaliser perfectly beyond the reach of the last man of LIWA Changning YCC.
Even though both the team toil hard and sweated out in the middle in search of the winning goal, their effort fell short to find that one goal and the match was dragged to kick from penalty mark eventually to get the winner.
LIWA Changning YCC managed to score 4 goals while Phunchung YC scored only 3 goals in the decider out of the allocated 5 kicks paving the way for LIWA Changning YCC to enter the final with 5-4 goals.
Kopalmson, David, Damme and Ngamsha were the successful goal scorers for LIWA Changning YCC while Denny, Morningson and Wangpol scored for Phunchung YC .
