Imphal, July 07 2022: Bishworjit Singh Konthoujam enjoyed a five wicket haul as PTRC, Patsoi thumped CRAU, Khamnam Bazar by 7 wickets for the fourth win in five matches and went top of the 6th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament Group A .

After electing to bat first here at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam, CRAU were bundled out for a meagre total of 63 runs in 28 overs as Bishorjit swept bottom half order with ease after B Jotin (3/19 in 5 overs) ran through the top orders.

PTRC then took 14.3 overs to post a winning 67 for 3 to consolidate themselves at the top of the Group A table.

In CRAU innings, Jotin Singh Pheiroijam removed Ph Jodash (4), I Nikhil (6) and Mehtab Jamal (2) to mount pressure and reduce CRAU to 30 for 3 in 13.5 overs.

Khangenbam Bimol Singh who was run out with 13 runs in his name turned out to be CRAU's highest run getter as Bishorjit claimed five wickets in regular interval including Johny Kh (6) and Takhellambam Kala (0) in the same 22nd over to stem the CRAU collapse at 63 runs.

In reply, PTRC were fast off the blocks as they managed 17 runs in just 2 overs even Loitongbam Shitaljit walked off on 2 after edging T Kala to Ph Jodash.

Khangembam Santosh (23) who gave the early spark was however bowled out by Lamabam Ajay in the 6th over as the run on the scoreboard read 35 .

Shapam Kenjit who came in for Shitaljit went out for the third wicket to Ayekpam Uttam but Ngariyanba Johnson (19 off 31 balls; 2 fours) and Gemson Mutum steered PTRC to 67 within 14.3 overs.

Bishworjit who impressed all today with his five wicket haul (5 for 8 runs in 6 overs) was named man of the match.

Al-Ameen will play CYCLONE in a Group B league match tomorrow.
