AITA Super Series Bhusan Haobam sails into quarter final

Imphal, December 05 2017:
Bhusan Haobam beat Nayana Tejaabwala in straight sets to sail into the quarter final of the U-16 AITA Super Series 2017 organised by Manipur Tennis Association under the supervision of All India Tennis Association today at Deko Turf Court of Officer’s Club, Lamphelpat .
Altogether 51 players from different States of India are taking part in the super series .
In the boy’s singles pre-quarter final match, Udit Gogoi, ranked 13 (AITA), downed Ankeet Gogoi 6-0,6-0 to secure a place in the last 8 of the super series .
In the second match, Manipur’s Bhusan Haobam beat Nayana Tejaabwala 6-3, 6-0 to cruise into the quarter final stage .
In the next match, Akhilet Dara Indbaal defeated Jeet Dutta 6-2, 6-3 while Shorat Maal downed a fighting Varun Gulsukpudin 6-3, 7-5 .
In the following match, Biki Sagolshem suffered a 1-6, 0-6 defeat at the hands of Aman Adil Tejaabwala .
In the next match, Arjun Phogat beat Ninat Rabi 6-2, 6-3 .

In another match, Rahul Pamei lost 6-3, 6-7, 6-0 to Manav Shrikumar while Ajay Singh outclassed Promit Bordoloi to complete the last 8 line up of the ongoing super series .
In girl’s singles pre-quarter matches, Bhakti Rawani beat Luxmi Gowda 6-1, 6-1 while Ishika Chakma outclassed Arkita Shah 6-0, 6-0 .
In the next match, Christie Borah beat Shabti Shah 6-3, 6-0 and Anya Yadav downed N Charmi of Manipur 6-2, 6-3 to ease into the quarter final stage.
In the fifth match, Khoyena Sarkar edged out Subrata 7-6, 6-2 while Khusi Sayi Sharma was awarded a walk over after Kanika Shivarman failed to show up for the sixth match .
In the last two pre-quarter matches, Vaishnavi Adgar defeated Abi Shah 6-4, 6-4 and Kushirao Bhatul got another walk over to reach the quarter final stage .
In the first boy’s doubles pre-quarter final match, Arjun Phogat and Lestone defeated the pair of Ninat Rabi and Lohit Reddy 7-6, 6-2 .
The Manipuri duo, Bhusan Haobam and Rahul Pamei saw off the pair of Golusupudi and Devharsh Nimal 6-2, 6-0 to cruise into the quarter-final stage .
In the third match, Aman Tejaabwala and Ayaan Tejaabwala managed to grab the quarter final berth by beating the Manipuri pair, Biki Sagolshem and Shankar Heishnam 6-2, 6-4 .
In the next match, Pudit Gogoi and Promit Bordoloi edged out ARunesh Borah and Jeet Dutta 6-1, 6-4 while Ankit Gogoi and Ajay Singh defeated Jyoti Das and Ashajit Senjam 6-0, 6-1 to secure their quarter final berth .
In a girl’s doubles pre-quarter final match, Abhi Shah and Bhakti Parwani secured a 6-0, 6-0 win against Linda Laishram and Archita Shah to enter the quarter-final of the super series.
