YUC, Kwakeithel Moirang Purel Leikai dumped PTRC, Patsoi by 44 runs at Heinoupok Ground to set up final date of the 1st MCA Under 16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy with Al Ameen, Lilong outshone PTCC by 8 wickets in the first semi-final.
YUC posted 151 runs for 9 in 30 overs after electing to bat first and held PTRC, Patsoi at 107 runs for all wickets down in 27.1 overs.
Kadamjit made brilliant strike of 44 runs in 54 balls while Sanjit and Bikash added 17 and 10 runs each to make it 151 runs.
Ph Jotin of PTRC scalped 4 wickets for 12 runs in 6 overs while Ravi Sahu dismissed 3 wickets and Pritam had one wicket in his name.
PTRC's bid to chase the target was foiled as Bikash of YUC dismissed three of the top orders before Sanjit and Thoungamba scalped two wickets each to prevent any build up.
Somoraj of YUC also picked up 1 wicket in this innings which saw Ph Jotin score highest 29 runs for PTRC.
Rohit (12), Ravi Sahu (10) and Pritam (10) also scored for PTRC.
Kadamjit of PTRC who was close to get his half century was named man of the match.
Al-Ameen ease into final with 8-wicket win over PTCC Al-Ameen, Lilong cruised into the final of the cricket tournament with an emphatic 8-wicket win against PTCC in a semi-final match at Heinoupok Ground yesterday.
PTCC which elected to bat first had a disastrous innings as they were bowled out for a paltry 52 runs in 19.1 overs as Pravesh of Al-Ameen wreaked havoc across their batting line up to scalp 4 wickets alone for 6 runs in 5 overs.
Champion made the highest of 10 runs off 30 balls in this innings while Nikhil Kumar and Nikhil managed 5 runs each before the following order fell down in quick succession.
Alfash of Al-Ameen picked up two wickets to add more teeth to their bowling attack while Zamir and Imran managed 1 wicket apiece.
In reply, Al-Ameen did not face much of an opposition as the target was too small and it was Akip Khan who blasted 27 runs off 21 balls to set up the huge win.
Zamir and Wakil also added 9 runs and 8 runs respectively in this innings for Al-Ameen.
Byran of PTCC claimed all two wickets of the Lilong side.
Eventually Pravesh was named man of the match for his 4 wicket feat.
