Makhuam-5 playground inaugurated with Sports Meet

Makhuam-5 village playground, in Noney district was inaugurated today along with a Sports Meet under the theme, "Youth for the World".
Samuel Jiandai, MLA Tamenglong AC; Kenan Kamei, president RNCM and Nagaverapu Sasikiran, Project Manager, Sushee NF Railway Construction Company Pvt Ltd graced the inaugural function of the playground cum sports meet as chief guest & guest of honours respectively.
The formal program began with an opening prayer by Rev CP Soihiam, Pastor Makhuam-5, Baptist Church, followed by unveiling stone of Makhuam-5 playground in the presence of Kenan Kamei.
The chief guest, while speaking on the occasion, mentioned that every village, big or small need playground as it can be used on various occasions.
He also urged everyone present to maintain the playground well as it is the only place where youngsters can be groomed and attracted towards games and sports besides drawing them away from intoxicants and ensure them a healthy life.
One can earn recognition through education and sports, he added.
Kenan Kamei also stressed on the importance of maintaining peace and unity in developing a village or a society.
The ground maintenance process was firstly contributed by Sushindro (Yaima), MLA Khurai A C for around 6 months with his bulldozer and further widening & levelling progress was contributed by NF Railway Construction Companies namely, Sushee Company, Tribeni Company, UAN MAX Company, NIPL Company, Onycon Company, ABCI Company, BIPL Company & BCCL Company, reports our correspondent.
Makhuam villages have a good opportunity to take up various development projects from NF Railway Construction Companies contended village leaders on the occasion.
Makhuam Youth Club defeated 10 AR, Tupul by 4-1 goals in the inaugural friendly match before Makhuam-5 A-team got the better Makhuam-4 by a slender 1-0 margin.
Many Villages leaders Churches, youth, women leaders were also present on the occasion which was filled with colourful songs & cultural dance.
