ZFC wins Chittamani Winners Cup

ZFC, Churachandpur after defeating DM RAO, Awang Sekmai won the champion's title of the 17th M Chittamani Singh Memorial Winners' Cup, 2012 organised by Hunphun Shaiza Youth Society under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) in home and away basis.
In the second final match played today at the Home Ground of DM RAO, Awang Sekmai at SKYC Ground, Awang Sekmai, ZFC, Churachandpur beat DM RAO 2-1 in front of their home crowd and claimed the champion's trophy.
The match began with high notes in both sides.
Jolthang of ZFC drew the first blood in the 13th minute.
Later in the second half, his teammate Lalminlian extended the lead to 53 in the 53rd minute.
On the other hand, DM RAO who had suffered a defeat in the first final match played at CCpur Public Ground tried their best to square the scoreline and claimed the situation with a dimming hope.
As a result of their hard efforts, they managed to scored back one goal in the 77th minute of the match.
However they could not scored any further goal and lost the match.
Mention may be made that the first final match was played at CCpur Public Ground as the Home Ground of ZFC, CCpur, in which ZFC beat DM RAO 4-1 .
MLA, Kh Devendra and Retd MCS, Kh Amujao graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and President respectively.
President of Sekmai Development Committee, Kh Surjamani; Senior General Manager, IOC, Kh Ibobi and DIG BSF (Koirengei), Angom Shamu also attended the function as Guests of Honour.
